This June DKHAC are taking on the Heart Foundation's Run for Heart challenge!

Our team: DKHAC Warm Hearts is challenging our members and community to complete a marathon distance (42.2 km) across the month of June to raise vital funds for cardiovascular disease.

Join us today and move your way to a happier, healthier heart!

Whether you run, walk, swim, or cycle, aiming for 1.4km a day or 10.55km a week will have you smashing that marathon goal by June 30!

With cardiovascular disease affecting 1 in 6 Australians, this is great opportunity for us to connect and move together for a fantastic cause.

Every little bit counts, you can support the Heart Foundation by donating to our team's fundraising goal.

What is Run for Heart?

Run for Heart is a community fitness and fundraising challenge run by the Heart Foundation. Participants aim to complete a marathon distance (42.2km) over the month of June to raise funds and awareness for heart disease – the leading cause of death in Australia.

What's the goal?

To move more, raise funds, and support the 1 in 6 Australians affected by cardiovascular disease. Every step and every dollar helps fund life-saving research and health programs.

How do I get involved?

You can either:
1. Join the DKHAC Warm Hearts team and take on the challenge with us
2. Donate to support our team if you can’t participate

What counts as movement?

Anything that gets your body moving!
• Walking
• Running
• Swimming
• Cycling
• Dancing
• Even mowing the lawn!

You can log your movement across the month to reach your 42.2km goal.

Is it competitive?

Not at all! It’s about moving at your own pace, supporting a great cause, and having fun with your community. You can complete the distance in a few days or space it out across the month – totally up to you.

Do I have to fundraise?

We’d love you to try! Every dollar helps. You’ll get a personal fundraising page when you register, and we’ll support you with ideas and resources to share with friends, family, and your networks.
