With an accessible central city location it is easy to get to the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre by car, bike, bus and even walking from the CBD and waterfront.

Arriving by Car

For those driving by car we offer over 100 free parking spots.  The easiest access is from the Tasmanian Highway although you can also access the Centre by driving via the Glebe.

Arriving by Bicycle

For the keen bike rider we are right near the Intercity Cycleway at the Cenotaph that goes from the city and Mawson Place at Sullivans Cove to Claremont, 15.6 km away.  Once you arrive there are plenty of bicycle racks.

Work has also begun on a new pedestrian and cycling bridge across the Tasman Highway between the Cenotaph and the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre make access even easier.

Walking to the Aquatic Centre

It’s an easy walk to the Aquatic Centre from the city.  The under road walkway at the bottom of Liverpool Street (corner of Argyle & Liverpool Streets) goes underneath the Brooker Highway, through Hobart's landmark Railway Roundabout and past the University Rose Gardens providing a safe pedestrian walk to the Aquatic Centre.
